Utley is out of the lineup for a third time in the last five games, with Cesar Hernandez getting another start at second base. Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said Monday that Utley's vesting option at 500 plate appearances won't affect any decisions, but the skipper also suggested he'd like to get Hernandez more at-bats. With Utley still struggling at the plate, it's not in the team's interest to put him in the lineup every day.
