The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Tyler Wells (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Friday with right shoulder inflammation and recalled right-hander Spenser Watkins from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Well's injured list move is retroactive to Sept. 20. The 28-year-old will be eligible to return for the final day of the regular season, so his 2022 campaign is effectively over.
