Tyler Skaggs will be recalled to start on Monday against the Cubs.
Skaggs was sent down before the All-Star break in order to stay on turn. He's being recalled despite walking eight over 2 2/3 innings in an outing for High-A Visalia. "We're looking for better than that," Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said.
If he pitched that poorly for Visalia, and still getting called up in the heat of a pennant race, I gotta believe he's being showcased for Theo's lovable losers, AKA the Cubbies for a trade for Matt Garza.
