Tyler Skaggs got the win with a quality effort in Tuesday's start against the Nationals, allowing two runs over seven innings. Skaggs was a bit spotty with his control, but was able to stay out of trouble against a Washington offense that looked impotent. Skaggs allowed three hits, walked four, and struck out five. He has been effective to start the season, carrying a 3.21 ERA despite an unimpressive strikeout rate. The lefty will face the Indians when he next takes the mound.
