Tyler Skaggs came on in relief of starter Ian Kennedy and allowed five runs -- two earned -- in 2 2/3 innings in Saturday's loss to the Padres. It's been a disastrous spring for the 21-year-old, who now has an 11.00 ERA in Cactus League play. Control was an issue for Skaggs Saturday, as he walked four batters in his 2 2/3 innings. The fact that he's now coming out of the bullpen doesn't bode well for his chances of securing the fifth spot in the Diamondbacks rotation. It's looking more and more like Skaggs will be on the outside looking in when the season starts.
