Tyler Skaggs allowed one run on two hits over three innings in his first start against the Reds Sunday. The Diamondbacks top pitching prospect, Skaggs battled a minor shoulder injury this spring and will begin 2012 in the minors. He's likely only behind Trevor Bauer on the minor-league depth chart.
