The St. Louis Cardinals placed outfielder Tyler O'Neill (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain on Monday. Fellow outfielder Lars Nootbaar was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. O'Neill suffered the injury on Sunday while he was running the base paths.
