St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (back) was transferred to the 60-day injured list on Friday. The 27-year-old has been on the shelf since the beginning of May because of a low back strain. He was cleared to play catch on Friday and will begin swinging a bat sometime next week. However, O'Neill, who is hitting just .228 this season, may not be back until at least July, assuming things move in the right direction.
