Tyler Clippard tossed a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday, earning the Opening Day win against the Cubs. Clippard threw 10 of 14 pitches for strikes. He distinguished himself last year as one of the league's elite setup men. Coming off a terrific spring, the 27-year-old could not have asked for a better start to the season.
