Twins purchased the contract of OF Matt Carson from Triple-A Rochester. Carson has batted .277 with a .785 OPS in 448 plate appearances at Rochester this season. The 31-year-old hasn't appeared in the major leagues since the 2010 season and doesn't figure to get a ton of playing time.
