Twins pitching prospect Kyle Gibson is heading to Minnesota to have his pitching elbow examined. The team's top prospect, Gibson has already had an MRI, the results of which are not yet known. The team is expected to know more about his status by Monday, but this doesn't sound good. Gibson got off to a nice start this season, but he had a 5.17 ERA in June and allowed 13 runs over two starts in July before recently being shut down. "You're always concerned it might be an ulnar ligament," farm director Jim Rantz said. "Enough concern that we're bringing him to Minnesota."
