Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said that Matt Capps is unlikely to get the ball in a potential save situation Wednesday against the Rays. While this doesn't mean that Capps has been officially yanked from the closer role, Gardenhire is at least giving him a breather. Joe Nathan is probably the better long-term bet, but those in immediate need for saves should stash away Glen Perkins, who has notched the last two saves.
