Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Joe Nathan would have closed Wednesday had there been a save situation. Gardy is still officially saying that Matt Capps is his closer, but we're guessing he'll move on soon. Nathan's velocity has been up since his return from the DL and he's been much sharper, giving up just one run on two hits while striking out five and walking no one over five innings. Capps might not be totally done in the ninth inning yet, but Nathan is the better bet for saves the rest of the way.
