Turner won't be in line to start Tuesday against the Mariners with the Nationals planning to call up Joe Ross from Triple-A Syracuse to take the hill for that contest, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After entering the rotation last Wednesday as the Nationals' fifth starter, Turner looked to be in line for a two-start week, but that's no longer on the table with the impending promotion of Ross. Manager Dusty Baker has yet to formally declare that Turner will move back to a long-relief role, so if Ross scuffles in his return to the big club, Turner could be asked to step back into the rotation over the weekend against the Padres.
