Turner went 1-for-3 with a walk and four stolen bases in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
With Mets hurler Jacob deGrom and closer Addison Reed limiting the Nationals to four hits on the afternoon, Turner was given the green light by manager Dusty Baker to try and manufacture runs with his legs. While Turner was stranded in scoring position in three of his four plate appearances and never crossed home plate, his aggressiveness on the basepaths allowed him to establish a new franchise record for steals in a game. With 26 swipes on the season, Turner is just three shy of the Reds' Billy Hamilton's major-league leading total, which is even more impressive when considering that Turner missed nearly two weeks in April with a strained hamstring.
