Tuffy Gosewisch hit his first home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs. Getting a spot start in place of Miguel Montero, Gosewisch provided most of the offense for the struggling Diamondbacks. The blast, off Cubs starter Jason Hammel, was Gosewisch's first of his career. His first homer was also his first hit in 13 at-bats this season.
