Trumbo was 2-for-5 with two homers in the seventh inning and five RBI in Friday's 11-5 victory over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran continued his torrid start to the season, and now has his batting average at .400 after the first 10 games. He also has homers in four of his last five contests, and is now sporting an astounding .604 w0BA on the road in 2016. He launched a two-run shot Friday off Rangers starter Martin Perez, and then blasted a three-run gopher ball later in the inning off reliever Andrew Faulkner with two on in what was a nine-run seventh for the Orioles. While the current pace is naturally unsustainable over the long haul, Trumbo's slot in the five-hole in what is a loaded Orioles lineup in front of him figures to shower him with an abundance of RBI opportunities throughout the season.
