Troy Renck of the Denver Post writes that the Rockies are "internally discussing" whether to pursue Jorge Cantu. Cantu was recently given his release by the Angels after exercising the opt-out clause in his minor league contract. The 30-year-old played with the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate last year and would likely serve as minor league depth if he returned to the organization.
