Trout will wear a stabilizer on his surgically-repaired thumb once he returns from the DL, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout, who is scheduled to have his cast removed Sunday, will only need to wear the attachment when he is on the base paths -- a wise precaution considering the superstar outfielder suffered his initial sprain when he jammed it on a stolen base attempt. The 25-year-old has made a name for himself as an aggressive baserunner and swiped 30 bags last season, so don't expect too much of a decline once he gets back to full strength.
