Triggs was officially recalled from Triple-A Nashville to start Saturday's game against the Angels.

The A's made the announcement Friday night that Triggs would get a spot start, so the move is essentially a formality. It will be the first major league start of the season for the right-hander, who's made 10 appearances for Oakland out of the bullpen in 2016.
