Triggs threw six shutout innings and allowed just three hits and a walk with six strikeouts but was stuck with a no-decision Monday against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Triggs remains winless thanks to a lack of support from his offense, but this performance against one of the American League's top teams should help him hold onto his rotation spot. He has allowed four runs on 10 hits with a 12:1 K:BB over 15.2 innings in the starting rotation. Triggs may be just a 19th round pick (2012 by Kansas City), but in a lost season for Oakland, they have every reason to let him try and prove he has what it takes to be a major league starter as 2016 winds down.
