Triggs pitched 5.2 innings, allowing one run on two hits while striking out two Tuesday against the Rangers. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie fell an out short of his first career quality outing, in large part because he's only made three starts and is still on a strict pitch limit. Triggs' 75-pitch effort marks just his second 70-plus pitch outing this season, and the former was more than two months ago. The 27-year-old's fantasy value will continue to be restricted by stamina issues, and that's assuming Triggs even stays in the rotation. He's expected to move back to the bullpen at some point soon, but for now, Triggs is in line to make another start Monday against Cleveland.
