While Triggs didn't quite fall flat on his face in his second career start, he was easily outdueled on the other side by Chris Tillman. The 27-year-old has pitched primarily out of the bullpen at both levels this year and it seems likely he will transition back to a relief role before long, although the A's don't exactly have many ready alternatives.
