Triggs (calf) will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group reports.

Triggs was placed on the disabled list July 19 with a left shin contusion after exiting against the Tigers during the second inning of the contest. He will embark on a short rehab stint before rejoining the A's sometime in the next week or so, as he is eligible to become activated August 3. During the 2016 season, Triggs has posted a 5.83 ERA with a 1.55 WHIP over 29.1 innings of work.
