Triggs (4-1) allowed five hits over seven scoreless innings while striking out nine batters during Saturday's win over Houston.
EDGE Analysis
The USC product had allowed six runs to the Mariners in his previous outing, so this was an impressive bounce-back showing. Triggs' uptick in strikeouts was also a nice bonus, as he had just 13 punchouts through 22.1 innings over his first four starts of the season. Now sporting a 1.84 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 2.86 FIP, Triggs is entering matchup-proof territory. He projects to face the Tigers -- another tough opponent -- in his next start.
