Triggs (1-0) gave up just an unearned run on four hits and three walks while striking out one in 5.2 innings during Thursday's 5-1 win over the Angels.

He was far from sharp, throwing only 50 of 91 pitches for strikes, but Triggs kept the Angels from cashing in their opportunities and got more than enough run support to notch the win. The 28-year-old has shown better strikeout potential than this over the last couple of seasons in both the minors and majors, albeit primarily in a relief role, but given his limited resume Triggs still has a lot to prove as a fantasy asset headed into his second start of the year Wednesday in Kansas City.
