Trevor Bauer surrendered three earned runs while allowing a season-high 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings on Monday. Although he limited the damage, the 22-year-old struggled in his second consecutive start since a demotion to Triple-A Columbus on June 28. Besides the fact that he's been too hittable this season, Bauer's strikeout rate has been on the decline as of late, as it's been nearly a month since he fanned five or more batters in a game. Acquired from the Diamondbacks during the offseason, the right-hander currently owns a 4.06 ERA and has allowed 76 hits (nine home runs) with 72/41 K/BB through 77 2/3 innings for Columbus.
