Travis Wood was annihilated in Friday night's loss to the Reds, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on nine hits over his five frames, including three home runs.
Wood struck out three and didn't walk a batter in the game. Ryan Ludwick blasted a solo shot in the fourth inning, then Todd Frazier quickly followed with a two-run shot. Jay Bruce capped off the damage with a solo homer in the fifth. Wood has struggled with the long ball all season, now serving up a whopping 21 dingers in just 100 2/3 innings. He'll take a disappointing 4-9 record and 4.83 ERA into Milwaukee where he'll battle the Brewers on Wednesday.
