Travis Wood pitched well in a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday, allowing just two runs on five hits over seven-plus innings of work. Wood racked up eight strikeouts in the game while issuing only one walk. Todd Frazier got the Reds on the board with an RBI single in the fourth inning, then Wood shut them down for the next handful of frames. After taking a 2-1 lead into the eighth, he allowed a leadoff double to Drew Stubbs before being removed in favor of James Russell. Russell surrendered consecutive hits, including a two-run double by Ryan Ludwick that put the Reds on top 3-2. Wood will take a 4-8 record, 4.61 ERA and 71/37 K/BB ratio into his next start against these same Reds in Cincinnati.
