Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw (leg) was removed as a precaution on Thursday after being hit by a pitch, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. According to manager Craig Counsell, Shaw had a bruise after being hit by a pitch in his first plate appearance, and after it showed signs of swelling they removed him later in the game.
