Travis Hafner will test out his right knee Monday when the Indians return home. Hafner, who irritated the medial meniscus in his knee, received a cortisone shot Thursday. He didn't travel with the team to Chicago, so he'll miss a fourth straight game Sunday. Indians head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff conceded that surgery is a possibility if the knee does not respond to the shot, rest and rehab. Pronk seems likely to be placed on the DL if things don't go well when he tests the knee out Monday.
