Travis Hafner (oblique) will not play the field at all during the Indians' upcoming nine-game interleague road trip to San Francisco, Arizona and Cincinnati. Hafner will probably be ready for activation from the DL early next week, but he'll initially be relegated to pinch-hitting duty. He hasn't played a game at first base since 2007. Hafner went 0-5 with a walk during a similar trip last season.
