T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports that while the Rangers have talked to the Blue Jays about left-hander Darren Oliver, a trade is unlikely to happen. The Blue Jays picked up Oliver's $3 million option for 2013 earlier this winter, but his agent recently informed the club that his client will only continue his career if he gets a raise or a trade to the Rangers. With the Blue Jays not expected to give in to his demands, the 42-year-old left-hander may end up retiring. As of now, Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos is working under the assumption he won't be back.
