Torres tossed two scoreless innings in the Mets' 6-1 win over the Phillies on Wednesday/ Torres walked the first two batters he faced to start the eighth inning but retired the next six straight to preserve Jon Niese's and the Mets' win. He will need to pitch well the next two weeks in order to retain his roster spot when Vic Black (shoulder) and Bobby Parnell (elbow) are ready to come off the DL.
