Tony Cingrani fell to 2-6, allowing three runs in 5 2/3 innings as the Reds were defeated by the Giants 3-2 on Wednesday. Cingrani was humming along nicely until the sixth inning, when Michael Morse hit a solo home run and Juan Perez hit a two-run homer to give the Giants the lead. Overall, the lefty allowed six hits, walked three, and struck out seven. While Cingrani hasn't been awful this season, he hasn't been reliable, having been able to pitch through six innings in only five of his 10 starts this season. He will take a 4.09 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP into his next start against the Dodgers at home.
