Tony Cingrani allowed two runs over seven innings, but the Reds fell to the Cubs in extra innings on Tuesday. The lefty didn't get a win, but it wasn't any fault of his own. Cingrani allowed just two second-inning runs while striking out nine in his seven innings. Cingrani also didn't walk anyone. It's unclear how long he'll remain with the club, but he's a nice mixed league option while he continues to start. He'll have a tougher test Sunday when he takes on the Nationals.
