Tony Cingrani allowed three runs while striking out seven over five innings in a win against the Cardinals on Saturday. Cingrani was his usual inefficient self, needing 103 pitches to get through five-plus innings. He struck out seven but walked five and gave up four hits. Still, the lefty is now 5-1 with a 3.05 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 82 2/3 innings. Due to strange scheduling over the next week, Cingrani's next start may not come until Saturday against the Padres.
