St. Louis Cardinals second baseman/outfielder Tommy Edman (abdomen) was removed from Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to lower abdomen soreness. He collided with teammate Lars Nootbaar attempting to catch a fly ball during the third inning. Juan Yepez replaced Edman in his next at-bat. He went 0-for-1 before exiting.
