Tomlin was placed on league's Family Medical Emergency List on Wednesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Cleveland will play Wednesday's game with 24 players, then activate Danny Salazar from the DL on Thursday to fill the empty roster spot. At this point in time, the club has yet to indicate whether or not Tomlin will pitch his next scheduled start on Saturday.
