Tomlin (shoulder) was was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Friday. Given that he's not expected to be ready before the All-Star break, Tomlin was inevitably going to be moved to the 60-day DL. Friday's transaction allows the Indians to place Jerry Sands on the 40-man roster, providing insurance for Michael Brantley (back).
