Tomlin (shoulder) is closing in on a minor league rehab assignment, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. Since early March, Tomlin has been tending to a sore right shoulder, which eventually required surgery to remove debris from the AC joint. He was given a prognosis of 3-to-4 months, but after fitting in some long toss in early June, he's progressed to the point of minor league appearances. He's still in line to return to the Indians by the long end of the aforementioned recovery timeline.
