Tomlin allowed nine hits and two runs in four-plus innings Wednesday. Tomlin's rotation bid got a slight boost with Shawn Marcum and Bruce Chen removed from the equation but he's still third behind Zach McAllister and Danny Salazar in what seems to be a three-way battle for the last spot. He seems likely ticketed to Triple-A to start the season at this point.
