While he did give up two long balls, this was a strong bounce-back effort overall for Tomlin, who was knocked around for nine hits in just 2.2 innings his last time out. There is little strikeout upside with Tomlin -- the seven strikeouts Thursday matched a season high -- but the right-hander has been good at limiting the free passes.
