Tomlin (3-7) gave up three runs on seven hits over 7.1 innings while striking out five in Friday's 4-0 loss to the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander began June in much the same way he finished up May and Tomlin now has a 3.60 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 27:1 K:BB in 40 innings over his last six trips to the mound with four quality starts, but keep in mind three of those came against a Kansas City offense that ranks 28th in the league in wOBA against righties. At least he's taken advantage of his exploitable matchups. Cleveland has three of the next 10 days off so Tomlin could get his turn skipped, but if not he'll be on track to take on the White Sox at home Friday -- one of the two two teams in baseball worse than the Royals against right-handed pitchers.
