Tomas (groin) has been able to take batting practice and engage in light running and throwing, but the Diamondbacks have yet to issue a timetable for his return, the Associated Press reports
EDGE Analysis
Tomas has been sidelined since June 2 with groin tendinitis, but his absence has gone largely unnoticed with the Diamondbacks reeling off an 11-4 record since that time. Since he's missed nearly three weeks with the injury, Tomas will almost certainly require a rehab assignment before being activated from the disabled list, so expecting him to return to the Diamondbacks before the end of June may be wishful thinking.
