Todd Helton smashed a two-run homer on Friday, helping to propel the Rockies to a 5-1 victory over the Reds. Helton rarely goes on road trips during the spring, but since he had been limited to just six at-bats heading into play Friday, he needed to get the work in. He finished the evening 2-for-3 with the two-run bomb off Johnny Cueto in the fourth inning. He'll open the season as the Rockies everyday first baseman, but his upside is extremely limited at this point of his career.
