Tim Stauffer worked seven innings and allowed just one run and four hits Wednesday in a victory over the Royals. Stauffer has allowed four runs over 36 innings in his last five starts, a stretch that's taken his ERA from 3.99 down to 2.97. While it's the Padres relievers that teams figure to target for the most part, a few clubs are sure to check in on whether Stauffer might be available. He's taking advantage of Petco, for sure, but he also has a fine 3.25 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in seven road starts.
