Tim Stauffer (forearm) will not make his scheduled start Wednesday after all. Stauffer left Friday's outing with tightness in his right forearm but was expected to be good to go for his next outing. Apparently the Padres have decided to play it safe, though, and will start Anthony Bass instead. Stauffer is expected to pitch again this season.
