Tim Hudson will have season-ending surgery for a fractured right ankle that he suffered in Wednesday's win over the Mets. Terrible. Hudson suffered the ailment on a gruesome play at first base when the Mets' Eric Young lunged to the bag and landed right on the pitcher's foot. He will undergo surgery once the swelling goes down. Hudson just turned 38 and will be a free agent after this season. The Braves will surely plug Brandon Beachy into his rotation spot next week.
