Tim Hudson had no trouble holding the Nationals in check Thursday, limiting them to just one run on five hits and two walks over six innings of work in the 5-2 win. The only blemish on Hudson was a solo shot that he served up to Jayson Werth. He threw only 87 pitches, but Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez decided to pinch-hit for his starter in the bottom of the sixth with a scoring opportunity at hand. It's the 15th time in his last 16 starts that Hudson has allowed three or fewer earned runs, and he moved to 14-8 on the year while lowering his ERA to 3.05 and WHIP to 1.11. He'll face the Phillies next week.
